Procrastination at the sewing station!

I have to apologise in advance for what is going to be a very short, and possible haphazard post today! I feel like I am surrounded by a thousand Philistines, and don't quite know which one to have a stab at first! Such, it seems, are the many little jobs I still need to complete in readiness for Monday's May Fayre. I don't have all my ducks in a row just yet! So, just a quick one to show you what I have been up to this week! (And to procrastinate yet again!)

As most of you probably know, it's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this year, which marks 60 year's of her reign. Celebrations will be taking place all over the UK. I have decided to make a special edition of these little mice to mark this occasion.

Little mice...

Jubilee Mouse 2012...

As well as lots of sewing, I also made these little button bouquet brooches for the May Fayre...

And little Posh Pooch Brooches/Keyrings...

A whole litter! ♥

I have sustained the odd injury in the process of abundant sewing. Boy, they forgot to put a warning on the new pack of needles I bought. It should say: 'Take care. Do not use when you're sooooo tired that you can see two of them!Sharp!!!!!'

Anyhow, loads to get on with, so will say cheerio for now. Have a super weekend wherever your feet may take you!

Blessings, Tania ♥

  11. Hi Melinda! Welcome to my blog, and thank you for becoming a follower! Thank you so much for your lovely comments! The little button brooches were inspired by something I had seen at a show a while back, and I thought I'd try making mine using a combination of new and vintage buttons, wire and ribbon. I had to fiddle and play with them until I got them the way I wanted them to look. I haven't done a tutorial on these, but maybe I should! Have a happy week! Tania ♥
